Uncharted Drakes Fortune. If you like 3rd person shooters this exclusive PS3 title is a must have. It has an incredible story line and eye popping graphics. In my mind its the best PS3 game to date. Some other notables are ratchet And Clank Future Tools of Destruction if you lie platformers. R&C is also fantastic graphics and makes you feel like your playing through a pixar movie. Unreal Tournament 3 comes out in a few weeks for the PS3 and its a highly rated PS3 thats much anticipaed. Now, if you can get it the best thing is the rock band bundle. It comes with the game, a mic, a guitar and drums. The game is phoeniminal.
A few games worth mentioning is Call Of Duty 4 which is by far the best first person shooter of all time. Only downside is its a little short. Another great title is Assassins Creed. It has a harder learning curve but is also great.
My opinion

3. Rock Band Complete Bundle ($169.99)-Music
4. Unreal Tournament 3- FPS
5. Call Of Duty 4- FPS
6. Assassins Creed- Action/Adventure
7. Heavenly Sword- hack n Slash
Another one worth mentioning that I just picked up is Time Crisis 4. Its about $80.00 and it includes the new gun controller for the PS3. I would highly reccomend it also.
It just depends on what type of game you want but all your bases are covered above.
Dont listen to the 360 fanboys. I own a 360 and a PS3 and there is no comparison. The 360 isnt cheaper. Once you pay $50.00/yr for live, $100.00 for the wi-fi adapter and $179.99 for the HD DVD hook up your about $250-300.00 more than a PS3 cost and you get all those things for free out of the box. Not to mention the 360 has a 33% failure rate.

Depends on what you like,
Action/ adventure: Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction, Assains Creed
Shooting: Call of Duty 4, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Resistance: Fall of Man
Sports: Madden NFL 08 , NBA 2K8
Rythm : Rock Band, for whole family, or Guitar Hero 2 or 3 Your choice.

In all honesty, if you buy the items needed to get the same specs as a ps3 on a 360, you're spending the exact same amount of money...actually even paying $100 more.
As for games, I'd suggest CoD4, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Heavenly Sword.

personally i would get a 360 for the resson you probally herd already
1. more games
2. better live
3. cheaper
4. more games
but if you do get a ps3, i would get call of duty 4, i have not played i herd it was great game. Also some more is skate, some people say it is better then halo. One other game, of course is gator hero 3.

Get rid of it! It is a waste of money. Xbox 360 are much better value and have got better games like halo 3
