My friend recieved a check for a considerable amount .A letter enclosed stated it was from an on line game and that he was to take the check to his bank , then take out a certain amount and call their office for payment instructions. Then afterward he would be issued a final payment of his winnings. My friend says he looked up the bank that is on the check and it is a real bank and that it has the watermark security background. Is this a scam or could it be true. He's aqsking me and I'm asking you ,How can you know if stuff like this is real?
