Can you put up a tampon in anticipation (sp?) of a period..? On the instructions it says not to but why is this? If you can get it up easily then whats the problem... they are clean when they're up there?

Anyone done it before?

You are more likely to get a disease known as tss. Toxic shock syndrome. You only wear them if you need them. I have never tried to wear them w/o a period before but I know that even if I have say a light period and it's been a while and I try to change it without anything (blood)on there it hurts like hell to pull it out.

Your not suppose to put a tampon in unless you have your period because oyull be at a Greater risk for tss Or toxic shock syndrom. Just because it goes in easy and its clean doesnt mean anything. I have never done it before because i dont want to get TSS. well I hope you stop that unless you plan on getting TSS. Hope this helps

Tampons are only to be worn when one actually has a period. If you don't have your period and you're wearing one, you are risking infection or toxic shock syndrome (TSS).

Well it is all about TSS .Toxic shock syndrome which is a very serious condition. In some cases has been known to kill women. If you look in any Tampax box it will have a information book which will tell you what need to know.

You dont really want to do it because if there nothing for the tampon to collect then it will be VERY painful to take out. Plus the TSS risk. Just wear a panty liner and if you feel yourself starting then check.

It is not safe to wear a tampon while not on your period, because it raises the chance of getting TSS. (Toxic Shock Syndrome)

The reason you shouldn't do that is because you can get toxic shock syndrome more easily the dryer the tampon is and the longer it is in. It should also explain that on the instructions somewhere...

Tampons should not be worn for no reason because it raises your chances of getting toxic shock syndrom. I recommend using a panty liner and just checking often if you think your period is coming.

You may want to read the information insert that comes with tampons again. The may reason they do not recommend it is due to the risk of TSS.

Yes, i've worn a tampon when i wasn't on my period.

There is this thing called TSS though.
I'm not sure what it is totally.

Toxic Shock Syndrome is the name.
& I know it can kill you.

I would recommend not leaving it in for a long time.

If your anticipating your period wear a pad or pantyliner.
It's much safer.
