why is kentucky fried chicken's theme song "sweet home alabama"? i mean kentucky?... alabama? makes no sense.

It's a general southern song and Kentucky is a southern state.

It is not their theme song, it is just a song that they are using is some advertising! Fried chicken is considered "southern" food, and the last time I looked, Alabama was in the south!!

Those who were singing "Sweet home, Alabama", were sitting in a KFC in Kentucky. The chow was so bad they wished they were back home in Alabama!

If the theme song is Kentucky, then the answer is easy. The first KFC was in Corbin Kentucky, and the original place is still there.

I'm a true sothern person.I live in Alabama.The most southern state ever.It is because we eat alot of fried chicken.Plus think about it.It wouldn't sound right if it were AFC now would it?

Everybody in the South loves Fried Chicken so it does not matter what the song is it is from the South and it is SO good I have the recipe if anyone is interested.

i didnt even know that was there theme song.. but it doesnt make since to me either.. it could have been like the chicken dance song....i cant believe im doing, this i must be nuts!
