My favorite book at the moment is In Cold Blood by Truman Capote.
So, it's a murder mystery type of book. And that book just left me in awe. A book that can evoke such emotion out of me is a great book.
So, I want a book that is like a murder mystery type of book, with the investigation and all that.
In Cold Blood is a non-fiction book, and I wouldn't usually read nonfiction but it was for my AP English class. The book is nonfiction, but it's written in a way that seems like fiction.
If you can give me specific books, not just authors, that are similar to that. They can be fiction or nonfiction.

Well - James Patterson is famous for his murder mysteries. He has two detective series out. Alex Cross (begins with Along Came a Spider) and Women's Murder Club (1st to Die). Both series are highly entertaining.

Mary Higgins Clark is the Queen of Suspense. So any one of her books are classic murder mysteries.

Janet Evanovich is funny/suspensful at the same time. Her Stephanie Plum series begins with One for the Money.

Sue Grafton does the alphabet. (A is for Alibi).

Or Carol Higgins Clark - daughter of Mary Higgins Clark.

Catherine Coulter writes FBI novels. Entertaining.

Or Agatha Christy - who all of the above authors basically branch off of.

Hope I have helped.

I would implore U 2 check out a book by Ken Follett called 'The Pillars Of The Earth'. In my NEthing but humble opinion it is the best book I have ever read(and I've been a voracious reader since childhood). It is a historical fiction book that opens in the year 1173(I believe).

I worked 4 a woman last year who told me she had read everything Mr. Follett has written and she felt it was his best effort.
