You might look into Interstitial Cystitis. It occurs predominantly in women, causing bladder pain, urinary frequency, urgency and lower pelvic pain and pressure. All this plus you will routinely get a negative urine culture. A urologist could look into this for you.

Otherwise, my only guess is that your uterus is growing and putting pressure on your bladder, making it feel tender and making you feel the urge to go. But it should not be giving you painful or burning urination.

Pelvic pain and pressure are also common in the third trimester.

All the best to you, and I hope you solve the mystery soon!

Well... Sometimes cultures dont always show, exp if it is a kidney infection. HOWEVER, with the dr running test I would assume it is more of the pressure of the uterus and the baby. Depending on your symptoms. I have had non stop UTI/Kidney Infections for the past 6 weeks of my pregnancy. Originally I was told the culture was clean, but then the next one came back not clean. Also if you were on antibiotics when the first culture was taken you may have started to clear it for it to return. Drink lots of water, cranberry juice, eat yogurt, and if it continues ask for a repeat test. Although it is common that our lil ones put pressure in places we dont really like. Again I am not sure what your symptoms are so I dont know..

Shouldn't do you any harm to complete the course of antibiotics though. It might just eliminate any other minor infection they just haven't found. It would help to know what the actual symptoms are. Someone on here may be able to shed some light on it for you. Don't worry too much at this stage. You are doing a great job.

If your dr can't explain it (or figure out what's wrong)....I'm not sure I can either. It *could* be that you're just starting to get alot of pressure on your bladder and it's making you feel like you're having urinary symptoms.

Glad to hear that the culture came back fine! Good luck and congatulations on the baby!
