I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant with number 1. I'm usually not an emotional person, but now I cry over EVERYTHING. I mean, everything. It's terrible.
I'm at work right now, and I just spent half an hour crying because a customer was mean to me.
Is there anything that you have done or are doing to help alleviate the constant sobbing?
Thank you!!!!

Your hormone levels are surging now in early pregnancy. Around week 12-13 they will start to subside and you won't feel so emotional.
Until then, just try to relax and laugh about it, if you can.

Hahaa, oh man, those first weeks I was an EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER! Crying over silly stuff, getting angry over other silly stuff, darn those hormones! There's not really anything you can do unfortunately. Try to take time to destress every once in a while, sip on some decaff tea and listen to some music. And hold on to the fact that when the placenta starts taking over the job of making its hormones, it gets a lot better! You'll be over emotional throughout the whole pregnancy, but the beginning is definitely the worst with the hormonal overload! Good luck and congrats!

Don't worry :) I went through this too and I'm 19 weeks along now and hardly ever get over emotional anymore. You just have to kind of laugh about it, I would cry and find myself laughing shortly after (like a crazy person) just because I realized how rediculous I was acting. It's all part of pregnancy.
Congratulations, by the way!!!

Just go with the flow. If people look at you weird or say something to you say that you are pregnant for the first time and thats whats making you emotional. Believe me it gets worse as time goes on, I cried all the time. Expecially at the commercials about the children in other countries needing help or animals being hurt...I balled my eyes out.
The joys of being pregnant. But the advantage is that you can get away with it!!! Keep that in mind.
Congrats!! And good luck

Just a little excercise used to help me. If I started feeling sad when I was pregnant, I would go outside and take a quick walk around the block or something. Just having some time to think, and getting some fresh air almost always helped at least a little.

Aww..I am sorry hun I know how it feels..When I was pregnant I kept a journal and everytime something upset me I just wrote it all down and cried just to let it out. I started this because I would start crying over something stupid and my husband would want to talk to be about "why" I was crying and sometimes I didnt even know why I was crying or how to explain it to him anyway...lol..So I just wrote down all my feelings and let the tears flow..not much you can do to stop it. But it is pretty funny to go back now and read my pregnancy journal now..lol..Always makes for a good laugh. HTH..GOOD Luck!

I am the same way. I am 7 weeks pregnant. I cried the other day because I cooked a pizza and my family ate all of it when i was downstairs. I asked my mom if there is anything to do about it, she just told me she used to cry during Hallmark commercials.

I took it out on my husband! (LOL...kidding, kidding)
I spent a lot of time writing when I was pregnant with my first and was extremely emotional. It worked for me to just spend some time writing my thoughts and taking the time to cry in a controlled environment.
Good luck to you and congratulations!
