The president of the United States takes an oath of office "To protect and defend the Constitution".

Now, to all Ron Paul haters, can you give me 1 single example of how Ron Paul has ever in his 10 terms of congress violated the constitution?

I bet you won't find one single time.

You should vote for him.

Hey bro, don't get all worked up over the right-wing smear tactics against Ron Paul.

Just goes to show, that some people will vote for the Hillary types, just because they have a (R) after their name on FOX news. Globalists have the deck stacked, and the best candidates, probably won't even make it through the primaries.

Ok I happen to like Ron Paul a lot. However I dont know much of his voting records, but I know when he speaks about the President not having the Authority to wage war that he is wrong. The President can use the Military as he sees fit to for a period of 60 days before he has to report to Congress.
That is one of the only things I disagree with him on.
He is a Very Good Cantidate in my Opinion.

The reasons I won't vote for Ron Paul have nothing to do with the Constitution. They have to do with his interpretation of the role of government.

I don't "hate" him, either. I just don't see eye-to-eye with him on the role of government (or, for that matter, the size of government) and various other subjective ethical issues like the U.S.'s involvement in foreign affairs.

Incidentally, Mr. Morden makes a fantastic point-- it's the individual's prerogative to decide whom they deem fit for office. That, too, is a constitutional right.

Simple. No one is claiming he is against the Constitution but that his ideas are cockamamie and impractical. If you think things are bad in America today God help us if Ron Paul were ever to get elected. Sure, his ideas seem good on the surface but down below the surface are ideas that won't make it out of committee, let alone to the floor of either house of Congress for a vote. I don't favor anarchy so I don't favor Ron Paul. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I haven't seen any Ron Paul haters on here. I've seen people who have said that they won't vote for him and that's their right. It says so in the constitution.

I don't hate Ron Paul but he has the same voting record as Dennis Kucinich.

I doubt if anyone "hates" Ron Paul. They might hate some of his agendas, but not the man.

That said, though, I'll NEVER vote for him, for THIS reason --

So a voter's main criterion to vote for a candidate should be that they've never violated the Constitution? Jeesh.

you don't have to be constitutionally wrong to make a bad president. 10 terms in congress does not say much for the man. you don't have to hate to disagree with someones politics.
no i shouldn't vote for him
