It is the cost of doing business.
That is what keeps the cost high. Same as shop lifters in Walmart this week will affect the price you pay next.
The consumer will always be the loser.......not the provider..

just which health care providers would that be?
any business that is not paid due to a debtor filing bankruptcy can write the loss of as a business expense.

Sometimes they drop you as a patient. And it can be very hard to find another doctor who will accept you even though you can only file once every seven years and are willing to pay cash and file the insurance forms yourself.

Many of the people who are uninsured qualify for government programs and the health care providers help the people get this set up so they can get reimbursed. There are many ways they can be reimbursed as long as the one not paying is an American citizen. There is no reimbursement for Illegal who skip.
