First off I am very thin. I am 5'7 and 108 when I got pregnant and now at 17 weeks 6 days I am only 113(I'm having a really hard time gaining). I have been feeling little movements here and there since 14 weeks but just a few minutes ago my arm was reasting on my stomach as I was scrolling on my computer(laptop) and I think I felt a kick all the way through. I know it wasn't gas I've been feeling movements for almost 4 weeks and know the differenced can't think of anything else it could be. My question is, is it too early to feel the baby on the outside? Also, is it too early to feel braxton hicks cntractions?

I know they were there I just didn't know if that was what I was feeling already(the braxton hicks I mean and that was something that happened last night). And I'm not worried about the kicking, I just didn't want to get excited and say anything to anyone and have them tll me it HAS to be something else.

Don't worry about your weight gain. Many women only start gaining in the 2nd trimester and it takes a while to catch up.

Braxton Hicks contractions have actually been happening since the first trimester, but you just couldn't feel them because they were so mild. It's normal for them to start strengthening now, so it's normal to be feeling them.

Plus, with you being thin, you're going to feel a lot more and be more sensitive to movements than a woman with more weight.

Sounds like your baby has discovered how much fun kicking is and really socked it to you today! lol

Congrats!

It's normal to have movements ,the baby is getting bigger that's why you are feeling it's movement braxton hicks are false labor or practice contractions, when you say you are feeling contractions already since braxton hicks would actually start at about 6 weeks, although one will not feel them that early. Most women start feeling them during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, try to check it's interval and it's frequency,if the interval is short then that is serious already might as well go to OB and check the status of the baby..ok...don't panic....relax! coz, when you get stresses about it ,contractions may occur... :-)

I felt my baby kick at that far along, and I think it's ok for you to feel braxton hicks I'm 4 weeks farther than you and I get them everyday, my doctor said it's fine. If you're worried see your obstetrician, and congrats.

Also don't worry about gaining weight, so much as eating healthy. I'm thin too, and have people tell me that 'I'm hurting my baby' and 'if it's a preemie then it's my fault', when I'm 5 months along and not showing or gaining any weight either, though I eat all the time. As long as you eat healthy food and eat regularly, you're not doing anything wrong.

My 1st Boy had hiccups ALL the time. It is a consistent... flicking feeling within the equal situation. Over and over and over again... If you're a long way sufficient alongside and the little one has it is again pressed in opposition to your stomach you'll even see the stomach leap a bit of. I was once feeling it for weeks and eventually at an OB appt the Doppler picked it up and I requested what it was once. That is whilst I found out it was once hiccups. This one no longer such a lot. I have simplest felt the hiccups as soon as. Trust me it may be very disturbing in case your little one does it on the whole... LOL!

You could be feeling the baby kick. Braxton Hicks, you feel all across your abdomen, not in one place. You are feeling baby movements, congratulations!! By 17 weeks, the baby is swimming around in there.

Nope it is not too early. If you have any big concerns though make sure you mention it to your doctor.
