mitochondria is used in the process of aerobic respiration (and therefore requires oxygen), anaerobix respiration does not use oxygen and therefore mitochondria is useless

Because cells with mitochondria survive off of oxygen. Therefore, if an anaerobic organism doesn't need oygen, it won't need the ATP created by mitochondria.

Only bacteria can live under anaerobic condition. Bacteria do not have organelles. Therefore mitochondria are not present in anaerobic organisms.

They need oxygen to complete metabolic processes.
