Has anyone made you scared or you get unusual people at your door that you hesitate to open it. I have and never would I open my door again. I feel opening my door to a stranger is opening your abode to destruction or worse.

Usually, but I live in a small town on the west coast, not near LA .However, I do not open when its dark with no advance notice of who could be there. In most places in CA I would definitely keep it locked and bolted all the time.

You've never heard of a peephole, I take it. Have your landlord install one - or do it yourself (with permission if you don't own your home). Me, I don't sweat it; I can see whomever is out there wanting me to open the door through the glass in the door.

When I first moved where I live now I did, but then I got to thinking about it, I shouldn't be so quick to open my door for strangers. I live in Bklyn, NY.

I always answer my door, but I usually just leave the door once I open it, so they can come in on their own. I don't like having to ask who they're here for.

No, I do not. My house is set up so nobody can actually tell if I am home when I park in the garage. Most of my friends know to call me on their cell phones if they are in front of my house. Otherwise, i do not answer the door. And, I live in Indiana.

I have closed circuit tv camera's throughout my property and two camera's on the front entrance gate, so if anyone wants to get onto my property, they must ring me up and then I can view them through the camer's to determine if I want to them come on to my property.
I reside in Shenadoah, Texas
