I doubt that will ever happen but i have heard rumors that the NFL would love to try that one day with the Super Bowl. Do u think MLB would ever try that with the World Series & if so would u be willing to order it?

It would depend upon the teams involved, and who is doing the production and who the announcing crew includes.

There is no way in hell I'd pay to hear McCarver blather, as one example.

As for production -- if ESPN is doing it, probably. Fox, no. Their production is garbage. Currently I endure it because there's no other choice.

It would, however, be a very short-sighted move. There's far more non-fans than fans, and those non-fans will never become otherwise without available, exciting championship play that doesn't cost money.

The only way I would watch the World Series on Pay Per View is if my favorite team was playing.

It would depend on who is playing. Watching two teams that I'm really not that interested in would be a waste of my money. I would definitely order a couple of games if the Yankees were in it. There are at least four World Series games, so I'm not sure if I would even watch all of them.

I would not because 95% of the time the Tigers are not in it and I wouldn't waste my time or money with another team. If the Tigers happen to win the World Series I can always order the DVDs for $79.99.

I don't see them doing it, because the TV contracts they have now are worth so much money. They could end up trying to screw people someday by starting the MLB Network and trying to force your cable or satellite company to carry it so you can actually see the playoffs or World Series. No, I wouldn't order it.

YES!

The world series is the world series. Once a year. The 162 game season comes down to 4 - 7 games.

Heros, Dramma, Walkoffs, THE WORLD SERIES!

If each game is on pay-per-view? That is pretty rough. I'm a Met fan, so I'd probably only consider it if they were involved. What would end up happening is that sports bars would buy the games, and charge $5 covers. I would do that, but I'd still be mad that baseball was so greedy.

That would be the death of baseball. Look at where professional boxing is at now. When it was on ABC, etc. in the 70's - 90's it was at it's height of popularity. Now that all the "big" fights are on pay per view nobody cares.

No, unless the Red Sox were in it.

But I probably wouldn't, unless I had a job. I mean, I'm 13, and I always seem to be broke, and I'm so busy with school and stuff, that I probably wouldn't even watch the whole game.
