I' addicted to Chipotle borritos, and I'm going to be staying In Japan for a while this summer, so I was wondering if there are any Mexican resturants like Chipotle or Qudoba in Japan, or even just a regular resturant in Japan. I won't eat Taco Bell so that doesn't count if they have that.

There are very few Mexican restaurants in Japan, but they do exist. Tokyo of course has a few, as do the other major cities.

Probably your best bet is to find a store like Meijiya that imports food. Usually they have a few Mexican things you can create your own burritos with.

Luckily avocadoes are much more popular in Japan than they used to be, so you can even make guacamole.

Sour cream is expensive, but sometimes you can find it.

You could probably make a good salsa out of ingredients found at a typical grocery store.

What I wonder is where are the Greek restaurants? I want my spanakopita.

Ok, since your in Japan, man, just enjoy the Japanese food, I was in the same boat as you. I was even craving the Chipotle burritos, no kidding. I just wanted a huge mass of meat which is kinda expensive. I went to 2 Mexican places in Tokyo, and man were they horrible. One of them had tacos, but wow, they added eggs, I guess to make up for the lack of actual meat inside. Giving you a heads up, because you wont find it in Japan. Why not indulge yourself at one of those meat bar places, where you basically cook your own meat in front of a small grill. : ) That is always fun! Your best bet, if your that desperate is to go shopping, I have seen some taco kits, and it is possible to find most of the ingrediants for a taco. Have fun! (good luck finding cilantro, could never find it)

Japan is a big country yes there are international foods to be found in major cities. Not fast food chains, but regular restaurants serving Italian, Mexican, Chinese, etc etc. You can't find Taco Bell in Japan other then at military bases so it shouldn't matter.

However with that said, you're visiting Japan, experience Japanese culture and FOOD!

Mexican food is hard to come by in Japan. You can buy taco kits at the import grocery stores.
