I've tried toothpaste, vegetable oil, baking soda, windex, peanut butter, a banana, and soap. What else is there?!?!

It definitely wasn't a good idea to use any of that on your discs. Not only can that ruin the disc itself, it could also ruin your Gamecube. I recommend taking the disc to your local game rental shop. These places usually have a disc buffer that will buff away any scratches (as long as they aren't too deep). Most game rental shops charge about $5 to buff discs. If you have several scratched discs, it may be worth investing in a disc buffer of your own.

Um, well.....putting all that stuff on it probably wasn't the best thing to do......Windex can cause even more damage to the disk. The only thing I can think of is rinsing it off with water. I've done that with a few disks and then gently blotted them dry. Otherwise you're probably going to have to just buy a new one.
