We could develop an alternate source of fuel for our vehicles and our infastructure and be completely out of the Middle East. Lets face it - we get our oil primarily from the Middle East. Well, since the great majority of our terrorist enemies are FROM the middle east - where do you think they are getting the money to fund their activities? It sure isn't from wealthy Arabic farmers.

Bush can give an outline of what he would like to see- Congress has the true power in this matter though- unfortunatley this congress is the first in the history of this country to have still not even begun to put one together. they keep trying to pass bills with no regard to allocating money.

which is a Congressional power- not an executive power

Christopher- we do not get most of our oil from the middle east - Our crude imports mainly come from venzuela, mexico, and canada. Our gasoline imports - which represents less than 15% of market comoes from middles east area.

All the trillions of dollars squandered on this unconstitutional, illegal, unjustified, immoral 'war' could have been used for:
* Helping American citizens who are disadvantaged, sick, elderly, underprivileged, unemployed, homeless, disabled, poor, or hungry;
* Providing free health care for all American citizens who can't afford it on their own, or who don't have insurance through their employers;
* Fixing America's crumbling infrastructures;
* Helping victims of Hurricane Katrina rebuild;
* Campaigning for Congressional term limits and the total elimination of all government waste, fraud and corruption;
* Balancing our federal budget;
* Feeding the two million American children who go to bed hungry every night;
* Developing alternative fuel sources;
* Aiding in the fight to overcome the serious threat global warming brings to this planet;
* Implementing environmental controls to help make our planet more 'green' and ecologically healthy;
* Eradicating the horrendous gap between employee and employer pay scales;
* Researching ways to introduce wind or solar power as chief new sources of energy;
* Remodeling our critically-ill education system;
* Revising Social Security so that the money only goes to those who need it, not to all the wealthy retirees who use it as a supplement to all their other income;
* Cutting government budgets and bureaucracies by 90%;
* Creating a modern mass rail system in America....and we'd still have hundreds of billions left over for other worthwhile projects! -RKO- 12/02/07

Educating small minded people that think terrorism is someone elses problem.

You seem happy to "share" your opinion freely. That couldn't be done in Iraq before PRESIDENT Bush deposed Saddam.

Don't all people deserve the same freedoms you have?

Or is it only YOU that is important

Find a country that will accept you and leave.
