the bottom line was that it was an accident. so the only thing you can do is milk it for all the sorrow and gifts you can get!

If this is the first time anything like this has happened, then perhaps it was just an accident. However, your husband must be clear on 2 things:

1. He must NEVER do that to you again.
2. He must control his behavior so as not to put you, or himself, in danger.

If he has trouble committing to those two things, the situation is headed for trouble. If, in fact, this whole thing was just a crazy, accidental moment, he should have NO PROBLEM agreeing to the rules above.

I would say if he has abused you in the past he will do it again. You should have gone to a doctor and had the abuse documented. The very least you should do is seek counseling for both you and your husband. Personally I would just go straight down a file for divorce and get a restraining order against your husband this will give you leverage in the relationship.

I think it time to talk to your man and tell him that he is a different man when he drinks and you cannot be around him and his friends when he is like this. Ask him to control his alcohol intake that your okay with him having a few drinks but getting drunk and beligerent is something you are not going to put up with all the time. If he is doing this all the time maybe it is time for a intervention and some AA meetings.

Really if he knows he acts like this jerk when he drinks he needs ot give it up before he loses you.

God Bless and Best Wishes.

I think you should be more pissed that you hang around with friends that get drunk, fight and attempt to punch each other.

I would quit hanging around with people that start swinging fists and use "I was drunk" as an excuse.

If you continue to hang around with these people then expect a little bruise now and again. Nothing wrong with that, but it's your choice.

Well thats one way to break up a fight. You saved the friend that is very noble of you.

Yeah I would be irritated too maybe try not to talk to him for a half a day. Then I would get over it and have a good laugh about it. Joke and say Gosh you punch like a girl and I would know.

Make sure you address that you will NEVER again tolerate that kind of behavior from him and that if he can't handle his alcohol and gets out of hand expecially hitting you that you will leave him.Make it a point to tell him that he could of gone to jail for hitting his firend or anyone in that case. And your not going to be married to him if he continues to display behaviors as if he was a little highschool kid.it should work i used it on my husband on a similar situation and he hasnt got totaly drunk since then. good luck ; )

I wouldn't try to step in the middle of a brawl with two drunks, that's for sure. Go to the doctors and learn from this experience.

You should have punched his lights out then and there. I had a boyfriend who did the same to me so I put his head through a couple of walls and a window. It really sounds like an accident and you shouldn't have stepped between them but, he needs to get his anger in check or maybe find a new friend.

I would be making my way to a divorce attorney and throwing him the he-- out of my house . if he gets that drunk he has a drinking problem and if you forgive him it could get worse . Nope would not go through that. He needs help . although that is not your responsibility to get him help . I would definitely tell him that I was consulting an attorney . good luck and god bless.
