True.
I really, really, really loved to write as a kid, so much I dragged a notebook and a pen EVERYWHERE from 3rd-12th grade. My best friend, Hayley, really admired the fact that I wrote so much or something, and I always let her read my stories and she carried a notebook too. At recess we would switch notebooks and she would read my stories and I would try to decipher her awful handwriting.
More and more I noticed how alike her stories were to mine. I started writing really crazy stuff to test her, and it worked. We are still friends though.
She took a bunch of my ideas and she mangled them because she wasn't that good of a writer (in my opinion). She overused big, fancy words and gave her characters offbeat names incredibly similar to my names.
And I never really 'got them back', but neither of us are published, so it's not like she's taking my credit or something.

When I see that commercial on TV where the young guy says to the attendees something about how they could save money by using Kinkos or Fed Ex or whatever.
Anyway his idea is dismissed by the guy at the head of the table who says. "how about if we do this..."

It reminds me of an experience where a planning department meeting is at a snafu due to some decisions being held up by one of these "playing devil's advocate" guys.

I came up with a plan B scenario that gets knocked down by this guy.

Wouldn't you know who's taking credit for the plan B approach 60 days later into the project after the worst nightmares come true?

True!
I thought up some good ideas at work once, and my boss said he'd mention them to his bosses, but he told me they didn't like them!
Later I discovered that they did, but he'd taken the credit for them!
