No actually I don't, I usually only do if the question is a super good one and gets me thinking. I gave you one pretty freely though, lol.

I give out stars only if someone asks a question that doesn't make me think I'm helping them do their homework if I answer, or to ask a question just to get a star.

Freely? no. I don't think stars a big deal. I give 'em out on questions i REALLY like. If someone asks for a star, i don't give them one b/c i think it's pathetic.
