seriously, i keep seeing this word 'troll' mentioned here on this site, i am new here but must admit i have no idea what this word means in the context it is used on here. (i thought trolls were creatures who live under bridges in fairytales) i'm not trying to be ignorant but it just confuses me when people use slang words etc instead of plain old english. I mean if its an insult why not just say s**thead or something?
Please, what does this word refer to??

An annoying person who goes around and harasses people, either giving smart remarks in their answers, or reporting questions and/or answers just because they offended to poor widdle person just a bit. GMAFB!
