this matter was approached in various movie and even in the simpsons season 13 ep 20, homer is singing "i drink a bottle of vodka i drink a bottle of gin and when i have to pee i use the kitchen sink" ...

I've wondered this myself! I imagine it's something having to do with a particular pleasure in being male (women can't do it!); a manly-man moment about which one needn't feel guilty. (man vs. the oppressive trappings of polite {code "feminine"} society, etc.). Also, the sink is a hole...could this be a basic sexual conquering fantasy, or a recuperative resistance to some sense of masculine alienation (again, oppressive trappings, blah blah blah)? Who knows...?! It's pretty funny, though!

Well, I never knew that, but years ago I use to work for a small printing company and I was the photographer and developer and this company did not have a bathroom only the sink in my dark room. One of the owners use to drink his lunch and he would always come in the dark room and tell me to get out. It took me along while to figure out what he was doing in there! I'll tell you, I wish I never found out !
