Im sick of the sports media running their mouth about who should be National champion. Here is my solution. Its easy to create a playoff system, but we must be realistic, money is what the confrence big wigs want and money is what i thought of in bringing this idea together. The price tag is 8 billion. Yes that is alot but it is worth it considering what schools get now for the BCS titile game. Here it goes:
TOP 8 Play 10 games and enter playoff.
3 games determine national champion just like in the NFL. (I.e process of elimination)
Losers of first round recieve 3 million dollars.
Winner gains no cash, but advances to next round. (except in title game)
Losers of second round recieve 6 million. Winner advances to tile game w/out money.
Winner of title game gets 50 million dollars (or the school wins 50 million)
Loser gets the remaining 24 mln
100 million spent per yr. X 10 years = 1Billon X 10= 8 Billon
What do you think? Especially since the big wigs are money hungry?

Sorry i meant that it would equate to 1 billion over 10 years multiplied by 8. Or 100 million over 80 years. Second, Teams that play for championship titles (I.e BIG XII OR SEC) that are in the top 8 automatically are waived from that aspect of competition because they are playing for the national title.

And yes i know its a rediculous amount of money. I have no clue as to how the money could be recieved except by a billionaire wealthy (let alone kind) enough to distribute it. (which is a handful at best) But the reason why i said 8 billion over 80 years is because of what the colleges get now for a BCS title game. I believe its 13.5 million with the losing school getting 3 to 4 million.

I'm lost. The top 8 play 10 games!!! WHAT!? Are you kidding me? After the season or that is their season? Well, doesn't matter because there's no way of telling who the top 8 teams actually are before the season and 10 games after the season is INSANE! Not to mention all the money involved. TOO MUCH MONEY! You're practically begging them to spend some of that on recruits! Too much money to follow.
The only part I agree on is the NFL playoff, but my system is 12 teams. The top 12 play in a fixed seeded playoff system with the top 4 getting a bye week. Mine only last 4 games (3 for the top 4) and it involves the teams that the BCS wants, the top 12. The non-BCS conferences need to be in the top 12 anyway to get a BCS bowl bid, so take the top 12. You can play bowl games in between weeks too. Spreading the moeny as the NCAA wants. As long as there is a playoff for the national title, I'm happy. Bowl games are secondary and can be played during the week.

That's a lot of money. Who is going to cough up the money? who determines the top 8 teams? The polls?
I would like to see a playoff system. The leagues need to end at the same time. Get rid of the 12th game.
Frankly seeing Ohio State play for the national championship when they haven't beaten any great teams is a crime. They beat Michigan, but so did Appalachian St. The Big 10 is weak again this year. They are a good team, but certainly not a great one. Let's see Youngstown State, Akron, Washington, and Kent State.... Hmmm not a real challenge there. So you're a school with good football tradition. Don't play anybody, stay undefeated. Lose late, but don't drop too far in the polls, through not playing you continue to advance up the polls. hmmmm

Why Texas and not Texas Tech? did no longer Texas Tech already beat Texas, while Texas replaced into ranked #a million? you could't use head-to-head effects to interrupt this tie, using fact there have been 3 head-to-head video games, and all 3 communities have been a million-a million in them. Oklahoma could win the massive 12 South. Of the three communities, they have the only street win over a ranked group, and that they are the only between the three that has non-convention wins against ranked communities. If Oklahoma finally ends up interior the national Championship pastime, then the Fiesta Bowl could have a decision between Texas and Texas Tech to fill the massive 12 spot interior the pastime. At that factor, each and all the Texas followers will forget approximately each and every thing they have been asserting the final week approximately how the end result on the sector may be the only ingredient that concerns. whether it may be great if OU followers on the massive 12 Championship pastime have been protecting up 39-33 indications.

That certainly is a lot of money!
I have a good idea too. We assemble all the teams who won at least 8 games in the Rose Bowl, and drop $300 million out of a blimp onto the field.
I probably copied the Simpsons or Family Guy, right? Sorry.
