When you really think about the crop of Democratic candidates for president, it's clear that their best hope to win in 2008, is not even on the playing field. That current, non-candidate is Al Gore. He's the only one who can match the experience, accomplishments and gravitas of Rudy Giuliani and yet, the left ignores him.

He served in the House of Representatives for eight years, followed by eight years as a U.S. senator, followed by eight years as Vice President of the United States. In 2000, as the Democratic nominee for president, he won the popular vote by a plurality. Oh yeah, in 2007, his movie won an Academy Award and he also won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Seems to me, his resume is more formidable than the top three current democratic candidates combined.

What say you?

Experience? As mayor of a city?

Accomplishments? Killing hundreds of firefighters because he couldn't get them radios that work?

Gravitas? Because he found EVERY camera in New York in the weeks and months after 9/11?

The best hope for Democrats in 2008 is an honest campaign that focuses on issues. All the Repubs have is Jesus and torture.

Alas, Gore has fallen 'out of love' with politics, probably because he has successfully created his own industry in Global Warming, which in my opinion only confirms his lack if integrity. I only have to think of his role in doing the bidding of Bill to know I don't want him in the WH.

I strongly believe Biden would be a much better option, but as always, dems don't take to REAL candidates.

Go Rudy!

On paper his resume is more impressive than any other DNC candidate. In reality he has made a joke of himself and given a new meaning to the word hypocrite.

I think Biden is their best candidate but liberals wont support him.

No. He doesn't want to be. He's found a gig that pays more money and doesn't have to burn up what few brain cells he has left.

His new gig as we all know is that old Barbara Streisand Global Warming.

It's too late. The deadline for filing for most of the primaries has passed. The smear job Republicans did on Al and the Nobel may have been helped him to decide once and for all not to run.

He has no standing or political clout in the party, therefore his chances of winning the election are moot.
