Littering is never OK. Speaking of littering, have you been to Wal-Marts lately? Or Safeway? Unfortunately, some stores attract the lower qualities of humanities.
That's what I loved about being in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, even Spain, Andorra, Leichtenstein...Those people don't litter (well, except for their omnipresent cigarette butts!)
Here, when I hiked up the trail in Glacier National Park to hike across the glaciers, there was litter the entire way! I worked for the U.S. Forest Service; for months we would work 12 hours a day, as we drove for 2 hours each way, hiked for another 2 hours each way, more than 60 miles from the nearest town, and their was litter along the way!
Only in America!

I believe the correlation would be the fact that McDonald's produces extreme amounts of litter in trying to serve so many people of which could be disposed of in many ways. The responsible thing to do would be to recycle this however, fast food is all about profit and convenience, not caring where all of the various byproduct of their products go. That little sign on the back of the chicken nugget boxes is obviously not helping things.

It is simple really, people can be in a hurry and forget to clean up. I'm sure this has happened to everyone, someone got lazy and tried to toss Their McDonald's cup in the trash at the park but it missed and they think no one will notice if they didn't pick it up. One little cup may not be that bad but multiply it by 1/10th the number of costumers McDonald's has in a year and you have a problem.

I believe littering is unacceptable for fast food companies and that they should be funding projects to help clean up the litter they have caused, and I'm not just pointing McDonald's out in this, I mean all fast food, McDonald's is just the company that was noticed.

Fast food is for convenience. You cant expect people who dont give a **** about what they put in their bodies, to care about what they put on the ground.

It's called poor taste, in more ways than one. If you saw the kitchen in some of these places, you'd never eat again.

LOL! They're not stupid. It creates more jobs if you litter.
My cousin makes it a point of letting their 5 year old run rampant through hotels just because of this.
