Do you sit at night with you telescope looking at the moon? If you do what do you see?

I do more star gazing than moon gazing. I love looking into the sky at night. There is not a more beautiful natural sight to look at.

Hi. I have spent many enjoyable nights moon gazing. My favorite thing to watch is an occultation. This is when the Moon passes in front of a more distant object like a star or (rarely) a planet.

I like to observe the mountain ranges when they are on or near the terminator. You can sometimes see what looks like strings of lights in the dark part of the moon, which is the sun just catching the tips of the mountains.

The most spectacular sight I ever saw was looking at a total lunar eclipse, the sense of the depth of space made me dizzy.
