Prettymuch anything by Radiohead is a good bet... however, Hail to The Thief and In Rainbows both have a lot of slow, melodic songs on them. Those albums, you could basically put the entire album on and not have a trouble in the world sleeping -- they're that slow. Anything by The Verve is good too. Oasis -- The Quiet Ones Oasis -- Stay Young Acoustic (Noel Vocals) Oasis -- Idler's Dream Oasis -- Waiting For The Rapture Acoustic Oasis -- Shout it Out Loud Oasis -- Talk Tonight Oasis -- Half The World Away Oasis -- The Masterplan Oasis -- Take Me Away ^ These are B-Sides, btw. Oasis -- Married With Children Oasis -- I'm Outta Time Oasis -- Let There Be Love Oasis -- Stop Crying Your Heart Out Oasis -- Little By Little Oasis -- Sunday Morning Call Oasis -- Wonderwall Oasis -- Don't Look Back In Anger Oasis -- Champagne Supernova Blur -- Beetlebum Blur -- Country Sad Ballad Man Blur -- Death of a Party Blur -- Strange News From Another Star Blur -- Sweet Song Jet -- Look What You've Done Jet -- Move On Jet -- Radio Song Jet -- Timothy Jet -- Sgt. Major Jet -- King's Horses Jet -- Shine On My Chemical Romance -- Cancer Aerosmith -- Dream On Against Me! -- Baby I'm An Anarchist The Arctic Monkeys -- Only Ones Who Know The Arkells -- No Champagne Socialist Beady Eye -- Wigwam Beady Eye -- The Morning Son Beady Eye -- Kill For a Dream Coldplay -- 42 Coldplay -- Reign of Love Evanescence -- Lithium Hedley -- Sweater Song

I'm sure any song off of the following albums is what you're looking for.

In A Silent Way - Miles Davis
76:14 - Global Communication
The Pearl - Brian Eno and Harold Budd
Victorialand - Cocteau Twins
Cathedral Oceans - John Foxx

I'm telling you listen to some Sarah Mclachlan or Dido. Their music is mellow and voices are good. Great 2 go to sleep on

Silence is best. Or the hum of a fan. Anything else keeps me awake.
