GREED

2007-12-02 06:26:46 · answer #1 · answered by EveretteDavid 5 · 1 0

Since all improvements in life can only be the result of rational thinking, the greatest drawback of human beings is their irrational way of thinking. Wipe out irrational thinking, and the world could be a much better place to live in.

Unfortunately, no one has the power to give people rationality magically, not even Jesus (to take an example) and reason remains a virtue that each one of us must want to acquire.
So, it looks like we are stuck with learning how to be rational for quite a while, I am afraid.

Parents killing children, Pedophiles killing children, anyone killing kids...I don't understand how anyone could harm a hair on the head of a child like that little Riley Ann Sawyer, or Madeline McCann, or Jon Benet......WHY? We will never know what those little girls would have grown up to be all because of senseless acts of aggression.....
