I think there will always be a generation gap. I feel young people can express themselves better today and there are not so strict 'taboos'.
Youngsters have the right to declare their sexuality and not live in shame. People can have babies outside of marriage.
I suppose I would like the younger generation to realise that I was once young, desired and lived my youth to the full. As for the things I do; I am at the age when I don't care what anyone who doesn't know me thinks. I don't harm anyone, I show respect......but I am not your 'conventional' grandmother!!!

They should understand that when we grew up there were no computers and thus we can not be expected to reach the same level of computer literacy as the younger generation. Also, if we are somewhat profiscient in computer usage, always keep in mind how hard it was for us to learn this and keeping up with technology is a continuous struggle.

I think us Older generation envy your youth. And we would be sad at the loss of ours. Respect of the older generation is a worry but I guess we didn't respect our elders either.
A Roman historian once complained, about the noise of youth, and the lack of respect for an elder's opinions. So every generation feels the same and very soon. Imagine yourself walking down the road and a young lout pushes past you and tells you to F off when you complain!
Enjoy Enjoy!

I don't want or expect anyone to understand anything about me. However, I would like to see the new generation learn the following: Common sense, take responsibility, work hard, quit blaming others, nothing is for free.

well i am 43 so i thought i better put myself in this one not the younger generation one lol .....
i would just like to say we were young once, and have lived and had fun too and we are not as naive as you may think ,
and sometimes when we are going on and on and on its not that we like nagging at you its just that we love you and don't want you to get hurt , of course you will make mistakes we all have and still do, but we are there to try cushion the blow , not to criticise you :)
