you probably will pay close to £100 ..but the builder has expenses including public liability ..and trust me on this as i have done it hundreds of times ...when your up there and the wind is howling you really do say to yourself ..is it worth it!...if your house is fifty years old or newer then don't worry as there should be felt underneath and the roof should not leak ..but of course you will still need to fix it later

Had my roof checked recently ,,, Re fixed 3 or 4 loose ridge tiles and some loose ones near edge were re fixed , Cost £400. ,, As to whether the estate agent is right only a proper check can ascertain the exact problem .. Also how can you check if any work has been done ? Only by employing someone to go up there and check for you .

Ross is way out in his guesstimate, a few cowboys may charge well over the odds but thank God there are still some genuine builders around, even adding call out charges it should cost no more than £150 to £200 to replace ONE tile

Probably £75 - £100 which sounds a lot for what it is, but you have to consider someones time to get there & get their ladders up etc & drive back again. I had one tile replaced ( well not even replaced - my own tile put back) about 10 years ago & I was charged £45

Most roofing companies have a $200 - $300 minimum charge. Your job would most likely fall in that range.

Most roofers I know would be around £85, but most of them would also refuse to do it in this wind!

All you need is someone to go up and push it back, do you not know any one who can do that?
