do you sometimes let people with one or two items in front of you when you have a whole buggy and not too many lanes are open? I usually do unless there are 8 people there with 1 or 2 items and then I have to draw a limit somewhere.

And I sometimes offer to help them put them up and pack too.

I'm sure some of the Store Managers in Southern
California have my picture posted in their Offices!
I always call for the Manager (In a loud Booming
Voice which I used in doing Shakespeare on the
Stage ) ---
I demand that he remedy the situation at once
if the Clerk is cashing checks in an all cash line
or someone is exceedIng (by a lot !)
the Limited Items lines !--
Or take down the Customer Service Signs !!
Then I lecture the people who let them get away
with it---telling them that the Constitution
encourages Free Speach---and our Forefathers
never allowed this in their Supermarkets in
the Colonies (This was the start of the
American Revolution ! )
Many of the people in the Market are new
Immigrants and they are happy to hear this!
Many times they applaud---but I have
never gotten a Standing Ovation as yet !

I always do... But like you, I also have limits on how many people I let advance ahead of me. If you let "everybody" advance ahead... It's nearly the same as letting another whole cart full ahead. If there's that many behind me, I usually let the checker know that they may need to open another check stand. That usually works too.

Yes! I have had people let me in front of them because they had a full cart & I only had a few things! It's the right thing to do!

I will usually allow one person to go ahead of me, I feel like thats the right thing to do, I don*t feel like I have to allow 5 or 6 people ahead of me.
