the cd drive doesn't work on my mac...?

can i return it even if it has a crack on it and i have a warrenty????????

How does the CD Drive have a crack on it. Apple is very picky about damaged parts that you send in to have fixed, even when you have AppleCare Warrenty.
Call 1-800-MY APPLE, or return it to an Apple Retail Store. Sometimes a restart of your computer will fix the problem.
