Here is what I use with Windows XP Pro.

Twister Trojan Antivirus, Beijing, China. Used by the Govt. Of China. You only pay a one time fee for life of $29.99 and you get daily auto. updates and all new versions for life.

You can evaluate for thirty days with a key that they will give you when you download the program. And decide for yourself. http://www.filseclab.com I used this program for ten plus years and never had one virus. Real state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other antivirus program on the market. (You can only use one antivirus or youu will have serious conflict with your system).

You can use the free Avast antivirus. Download from: http://www.avast.com You will get on the hour updates automatic an a background scanner. Excllent free program.

I run four antispyware program, as one will find wha the others miss. You can do this if you have the resources and there is no conflict.

http://www.superantispyware.com Superantispyware free version will find what all others miss. You will get daily auto. updates and all new versions free.

http://www,emsisoft.com A2Squared Malware free version. Out of Austria. Excelllent free program to catch keyloggers, and rogue dialers, spyware, malware, etc. etc.

http://www.grisoft.com Download their free version or the purchased version becomes free after thirty days if you don't purchase. You only loose the background scanner that in my opinion are no good anyway. Only with the anitivurs program does it work. This is AVG FREE antispyware.

http://www.ccleaner.com This is an excellent free cleaner that will clean all files that are not necessary and left in your system, including cleaning your registry.

I use Zone Alarm, free version http://www.zonealarm.com Used for ten plus years and you will get auto. updates daily if needed and all new versions are download free for installation over the old version. I recommend a clean install always.
