Preferably he would pick someone who had a least a little bit of experience.

In this month's TIME magazine, he was asked if he would offer Al Gore a job if there is an Obama Administration. His answer..." In a minute"
Then he was asked if he would offer Bill Clinton a job. His answer..." In a second".
So, wouldn't it be fun to see ole Bill running for VP? I bet he would if he could !
But seriously, Richardson would be a good choice. He's a popular man and would pull in many votes. Smart politician , too, and would bring along his experience in politics.

I am not a Democrat but in all honesty, if Obama were to get the Democratic nomination he would be very smart to select Bill Richardson. Richardson is a very experience leader as Governor and a former Ambassador and diplomat. It would add weight to the somewhat inexperienced Obama ticket and should win over those who like him but fear his inexperience.
It worked for GW Bush who was boosted to the nomination by selecting Dick Cheney as is running mate. And JFK who selected LBJ as his running mate.

first off,i would NOT want obama as the nominee because i dont think he could win or is fit for the job.
he needs a more experinced person that has a little more middle ground out look on politics that the GOP would like.i dont think america would elected a black president[as sad as that is].hilary would make it worse and less likely.i think she is the best oppition for president though.

Hillary would never do it but would be my first choice.
Obama would need an older white male, more experienced in foreign policy - someone like a Joe Biden maybe - or even better, BILL Clinton?

It doesn't matter...
Obama or Clinton on the democratic ticket as either President or Vice President virtually assures a Republican win.
Neither are electable.

Hillary Clinton would be a good Vice President (I would never vote for her as President), but I don't think she would accept. Possibly Richardson.

How about Joe Biden, that will solve the experience question.
