Be the friend you already are, lend an ear, a shoulder and be there for for her.

There are some good sites online for dealing with that. You can put the words dealing with death in your search engine and find those but I will give you one to begin with.
You can tell them to go to memory_of.com and establish a memorial to them but prepare it while the person is still living. I don't know how old this friend is but the site is free for a period of time and then you can extend it for a certain amount I can't recall or pay about $100 and it will be there forever. A friend of mine did that for his wife who passed away a year ago. I will give you a link to her site as an example of how she can set that up.
I hope this helps.

Tell her that you are always going to be there for her. If she wants to talk about it, be encouraging and let her know you care. If she feels like crying, give her a huge bear hug. Just keep reminding her that she is not alone in this, and if she needs you, you're there for her. You are such a sweet friend to care about her. :-) She is very lucky to have you.

Be there for her. Stay with her, even when she tries to push you away, cause sooner or later she'll realize that pushing you away was a bad idea, and she needs you. Listen to anything she has to say, and carry tissues with you or something. Just be there for her.
