Being totally excited and waking up very early in the morning. We had a little artificial Christmas tree with no lights. We always had pork pie and toast for breakfast on Christmas morning and I still don't know why.
I usually had a pillow case full of presents. Things like a post office set, sweet shop, doll or nurses uniform and an apple and orange and some dates and figs.
After opening my presents I always went next door to my Nan for the present she had bought me. Such happy days.

I remeber one Christmas, there was a baby doll that every girl wanted except me. I think it opened its eyes and talked. So i went downstairs Christmas morning unwrapped my gifts and there it was. My mom said i screamed lol but I dont even remember doing that. i was so afraid of that doll.

we rarely get snowfall where i live, so my most fond memory of when i was a little girl was when i woke up to find the entire frontyard, and backyard covered in snow. My brother, sister, and I ran out to play. It was so much fun! It was actually one of my christmas wishes that had come true!

I remember the knot of excitment in my stomach and not being able to sleep. My sisters and brother and i used to all climb in to one bed and try to stay awake for as long as we could in he hope of seeing santa claus trying to deliver our gifts as we had a slanted roof and no chimney for him to get down. Needless to say that we never did manage to stay awake to see how he got in but we always got our gifts. The other thing is the smell of them "baby oranges" and fresh fruit.
