Everyone will have a different definition of what makes a great lover.
The following is my definition.
A great lover is someone who is open and responsive to their partner.
Great sex is all about the chemistry and communication between the participants.
A selfish and thoughtless person makes a lousy lover.
No, most people don't think they are great lovers.
People who do think of themselves as really knowledgeable, wise and great lovers are usually delusional.
Except for one person I know.

The understanding that we actually can only GIVE love.
If we receive it back, it is our good fortune.
Only when one gives good love, does he or she receive the same ... and this is what makes people good or bad lovers.

It is all in the effort. Some people only want to please themselves. Or, on the other hand, some people only want it to be over. It has to be mutual satisfaction and participation.
