3x^2 +2x + 5 is a trinomial consisting of three terms:
3x^2 , 2x, and 5

3x^2 +2x +5 is a polynomial because it has more than one term. A polynomial is an expression that has more than one term

The x^2 term is multiplied by 3. 3 is a coefficient of x^2. Likewise 2 is a coefficient of x.

y= 4x+6 is a linear equation because the x term has an exponent of 1. That makes it linear. When graphed, youii get a straight line. 3x^2 +2x + 5 has the x^2 term which has an exponent of 2. Thus it is of degree 2 and its graph will be a parabola shaped like a U and will not be a straight line or linear equation.
