Is there anywhere i can download a free anti-virus program as a zip file?

My firewall prevents me downloading .exe files.

Thanks.

It is on a school network so disabling the firewall, is next to impossible. So any suggestions would be most welcomed.

I don't know of any firewall that prevents you from downloading a "exe file". Plus you don't say what firewall that you are using. You can disable your firewall and download the antivirus you want. And then after installation turn your firewall back on.

The antivirus program I use is downloaded as a "zip file". You have to pay a one time fee for life of $29.99 and you will get daily auto updates and all new versions for life. (This nobody can beat for state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other antivirus on the market). Also used by the Govt. Of China. http://www.filseclab.com

You can download and test for thirty days with a registrtion key good for the thirty days free, 100% complete. After thirty days you have to make the one time purchase for life.

Check the settings on the firewall there should either be a level eg low medium high or the option to block or warn when downloading an exe file it should warn you and say be carefull but not stop completely.

Disable the firewall. I have no clue how I would get by without being able to download exe files (or deb files on linux)

lol so disable the firewall, download and turn the firewall back on. If you can't do that then your basically in the cold because I can't think of a single one that is not exe.
you could try hijackthis but thats not antivirus

IF your Firwall is blocking downloads then you must turn OFF your Firewall then Download then turn the Firewall back ON.
This isn't at all unusual.
