Yes, I do. I have loved it from the first book I opened on it more then 50 years ago. I lived in Europe for 7 years and was in heaven. I tromped the ancient battlefields of Sardinia, stood on the side of mountains that El Cid and Moutiman the great did. Sailed from Cadiz like Columbus, watched the Jordan river, like David. Saw the seven hills of Rome, viewed the ruins of Carthage. I walked Hadrians wall, felt the mystery of Stonehenge, viewed the stained glass window of William Wallace. Looked down at Napoleans tomb. It was great. I am still doing it as much as possible. I am happy for you and your interest and hope I did not bore you.

It's cool to like ancient history. Some of my classmates in my ancient Greece and Rome classes liked it better than modern history.
With that love of history in mind, you could become an archaeologist someday or a history professor.
I like ancient history okay but I'm more into Modern Europe since it's my specialty.

Most history lovers have places and periods that they find more interesting than others--that's the way many people first get on the road to becoming experts in one time or place.
I personally am quite taken with the history of Rome (but I'd hardly call myself an expert), medieval Europe, and the French and Indian War.
Maybe American history isn't so interesting to you because--compared to the rest of the world-- there isn't a great deal of it!

no you are in a good company, the ancient history is very important for me because if you notice that all the period of history have good ideas, good people, the enemy, the change of leadership due to wars or treaty and so on.
today too you can see a lot of similar things between ancient and modern situations.
the men changes, not the history in all his complex
