I just found a spider in my house and it's pretty small (~3/4 of an inch) and has a golden pattern on his abdomen and right before his spinnerets is another small, gold pattern. (I live in Quebec; not many venomous spiders)What kind of spider is this??

Sounds to me like it could be a Striped Lynx (Oxyopes salticus)

not sure though... take a look at the pictures and feel free to e-mail me if those aren't right and I could talk to an expert on Spiders... I know a few... (Don't worry, I love trying to figure out bug species... it's a game for me)

Don't know - many spiders have a marking right in front of, or around, the spinnerets, but golden is a bit unusual. A photo is almost always extremely helpful, but failing that, any sort of information may be helpful; the best thing would be to give your impressions about the spider when you first saw it; you don't necessarily need to be very detailed. Many spiders can be narrowed down to an extent by the combination of roughly how it looks and what it was doing at the time.
