That's all he was and will be when he acts in a political role.

I spit on his V device that went with his bronze star, he didn't earn it.

Yes, I would like to ask Petraeus WHY he has a V device with his bronze star! The USA report on the combat action he was in at Fallujah indicates that he DID NOT earn that V device. Even military people familiar with this award question that.

And reading Petraeus testimony, it's clear he was only parroting what the Bush administration wanted said. Funny how I am questioning Petraeus courage when I was merely criticizing an award I beleive was unearned. Show me where Petraeus DID earn that V device, that was not reported in USA Today, then I'll change my opinion.

It is yet another tactic to cut off debate. Supposedly it's unpatriotic to believe that a general would ever be anything but totally honest just because he is a general (begging the question fallacy), and questioning his honesty is a failure to "support the troops" which in turn is high treason.

"Support the troops" has been one of the most destructive cliches of this war. It is nothing more than a cynical rhetocial device to stifle dissent.

Oh and its a great way to decorate the back ends of oil wasting chicken-hawk transports (SUV's).

The General has embraced this Rudyard Kipling poem. Say whatever you want about him, he's probably heard worse .

IF.....

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

hi Lioness, i attempted to locate "objectified" and "objectification" interior the dictionary and no excitement. properly, i'm not precisely helpful I comprehend your queston, yet think of i might have an thought. besides, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? that's a curve that's formed like a bell and does a stable job of representing records. As for splendor, at one end of the curve we've the least captivating and on the different end the main. the comparable may well be actual for earnings ... poorest on one area and richest on the different. contained in direction of the bell we've all the conventional persons. i think of what you're asserting is actual, yet merely merely a actuality of existence. we've the finished spectrum for the two genders. As for why adult adult males do not protest ... i assume they comprehend that that's merely the way issues are and protests are unlikely to alter something. wish this facilitates!

Well....I guess if you don't 'like' General Petraeus....you are entitled to that opinion.

But take the moment to thank the General for your freedom to run your mouth. Without men and women with the courage to serve their country....YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ASK THIS QUESTION!

Of course you would spit on that. You never had the courage to serve your country so it doesnt surprise me at all. General Petraus has spent his life serving this country. You spend your life locked up in a room surfing the internet. That equates to patriotism to you.

Even Murtha, the biggest traitor of all has come out and changed his tune regarding the war in Iraq. What does this say about narrow shouldered, yellow YA liberals that like to play keyboard commando? What unit are you attached to, MAC SOG?.....

I AGREE..

Did anyon see the hearings.
That female republican asked for democrats to denounce it..
and in the background one democrat came out strong and said
"Im not going to apologize for something I didnt do"
in a very firm tone.

And the republican was put in her place..and said "someone needs to relax"

Why democrats wouldnt say the same...is beyond me.
Because you know the republicans would do and have done far worse.

And Yet again, repubs and Bush were able to deter the attention of BETRAYUS's lopsided facts.
by attacking the moveon.Org Article.

Democrats should have said I wont apologize for something I didnt do and leave it at that.

But yet again Republicans show they know how to deter the real issues and won this one.

Democrats are trying to be more civil and stand above the barking rhetoric and attacks, but sometimes oyu have to GET INTO THE FIGHT,

And republicans have constantly bullied democrats with their WIN AT ALL COST tactics.

Hopefully the people will see through Gulianis B.S.
Romneys Flip Flopping
and McCains Insane talk.

Or hopefully Clinton and Obama will give as muh as they get smeared.

Repubs want Clinton because they have the most SMEAR TActics for her.
Im pretty sure its going to be Clinton....but It would be nice to throw rebus a curve and give them Obama.

Im waiting to see whos going to run as anindependant
hahaha
Ron Paul Pres/Dennis Kucinich as V.P
Or vice versa.

That would be sweet
