I'm 19 and I kind off drifted out of my education after college. I want to become a teacher at a university though and have finally managed to get myself off my butt again. What do I need to do?

Well first off you need to get back in school, if you already are not. To teach at a University you are going to need to get a PhD so get prepared for a lot of school for your self. Decide on your feild of study and then talk to some professors in the department. It is a long road to get there. Make sure you become a Teaching Assistants for your professors that will give you experiece and help you decide if it's wht you really want to do.

You're 19? Unless you are a gifted prodigy, there are very few people who are a little older than you teaching in a University. You need a minimum of a Master's Degree to teach in a University. You will definitely need experience as a graduate assistant before any University ever thinks of giving you an interview.

You didn't have to drift far... you are only 19 so you didn't have much, if any college.

You need to go back to college and get at least a Bachelor's degree before you can even begin to think about teaching at university.

You need to get additional recommendations, write articles in your field, continue your own education and compose a good resume.
