In my opinion there are only 2 players who can have this title and its Steven Gerrard or Wayne Rooney. However both players can do so much better in an England shirt than they are doing, but they are still streets ahead of the rest.

u r right, it is Rooney, we do have some great players Becks for one, but he is like 32, rooney is 22. Rooney changes the entire team. he, like beckham plays with pride.
the best part is - rooney hasent even peaked he gonna get better an better.

GERRARD!!!!!!!! beckham is old, rooney is a thug, and lampard is way over rated!!! Gerrard is a better team player - he is not greedy for goals unlike rooney who is greedy and always gets into fights. Gerrard is a playmaker!
