Who else is starting to get that whole Ryan Leaf vibe from Phillip Rivers? This guy just seems like a schmuck... this is what happens when you have TOO much pride.

The problem in San Diego is not Philip Rivers, it's Norv Turner. And it's because they fired Marty Schottenheimer. Frankly dumping Marty for Norv was the dumbest thing ever so they deserve everything they are getting. I mean at least get a better coach, they downgraded. When has Norv EVER been a winner as a head coach?

According to my dad, Phil Rivers is a lot different from Ryan Leaf; Rivers is actually trying to make an effort (but "trying" doesn't get anything done).

When protected completely, Phil can make some pretty awesome plays. Ryan Leaf, on the other hand, had an ego, an attitude, and couldn't play for beans. Because of this, he hardly ever got protection by the O-Line. The thing is that you have to develop a relationship with your O-Line (according to my dad). When Dan Fouts played for us, he was freaking awesome. Heck, he and his O-Line were buddies! So of course they were going to cover his butt from linebackers.

Give Phil a chance and as for Cryin Leaf, do not and I repeat DO NOT mention his name within the San Diego city limits. A lot of people here do not like him.

NO!!!!!!!!

So what if he showed his displeasure at the fans? He was just being passionate, and he apologised for any offence caused afterwards.

And comparing him to Ryan Leaf is just out of order in my opinion. Rivers is far better than he was.

He's got plenty of upside to him...

Did not like him in college and have always felt he is not a leader hence the season the Chargers are having!

Yup, way to egotistical to be a leader.
