The two wizards our both great in their own right and as far Dumbledore sexual preference is sweet Jesus who gives a flying crap as it would be a person personal choice. Both are great wizards in their own right and both have proven to be noble in their pursuit to defeat evil as it lead to their deaths. Gandalf with his self sacrifice for the group as was Dumbledore when he took it apound himself to destroy the Horcux one that would of indeed of killed him if it were not for snape slowing it course and then even as his life ended did he give the last bit of his life to gain access to a second one.
So in my oppion they our both great wizards regardless of there sexual preference.

Gandalf; he's not just a wizard,he is from a class of beings similar to the major angels. He also has much better names that Dumbledore--Gandalf, grey pilgrim, Mithrandir.
Dumbledore sounds like it should be a hobbit's name,not a wizard's!

Gandalf, he's a Bad ***. . . . he got killed, came back from the ravishes of hell to destroy the evil plaguing the world. What has dumbledore done besides teach a bunch of kids??? Yea Go Gandalf!!!

Gandalf because he's got cooler and more powerful friends like Elrond (Hugo Weaving Elrond rocks!), Dumbledore's friends are Harry Potter, McGonagle and Hagrid, cool, wise and powerful but in a lower league than Gandalf and Elrond

dumbledore but then i'm fiercely biased cuz i love theose books but dumbledore was a more interesting character because he lived in modern times(in the book he lived up to 1997 or 1998), and he's just plain cool
