What a wonderful question, Penny.
I grew up an orphan in life. My parents had separated, and I only living with my grandmother, until she got to old to care for
me.
I was sent out to Father Flanagan's Boys Town. Since 1990,
It has become Father Flanagan's Girls and Boys town.
I was there in the 50's. I felt they had saved me from a life of
crime, and prison, because I was stealing from stores.
I was taught self-esteen, self-disipline, respect, teamwork,
and to share with others.
There is a stage in life, where you have to start "giving back."
To help someone like myself, when I was a child.
I have helped many i worked with, many I have lived with,
along with raising two of my own.
Now I do it with the "internet."
In "answering" peoples questions. If in answering someones
question, it helps them change their life in a more positive
way, as I hope, I am doing with you. "Then I have did my job."
God bless you, ():-})> and have a Merry Christmas. *~<}:-})>

I took Paris Hilton under my wing b/c she was a poor little rich girl that needed loving understanding and guidance. Too many people are just plain jealous of her and judgmental and like to put her down and joke about her. But, I had a talk with her and let her know not to get discouraged by what she hear and reads on the media. I told her to turn her life around, she could still have fun but she needed more purpose in her life. Because of her fashion flair, I encouraged her to start her own fashion line to give her something more satisfying to do with her life. Haven't you noticed a change in her? She really is a sweet girl. You all need to appreciate her unique personality and style and stop bashing her.

I have done it many times here, and in my daily life. Why is really simple.. If nobody had done that for me, I would not be where I am today, which is a much better place than I was at.
Everybody needs somebody and help once in a while. I am not one to look the other way when I see I can make a difference.

the ones who see the value in mentoring the ones who will take the lead in our waning years understand the importance of taking people under our wings.

we have the experience and wisdom (and sometimes foresight) to see down the road and help these people to succeed in the face of adversity.

the key of course is to make success possible without giving the challenge away while making them work for but guiding them to success.

we all have faced challenges and very few have made it without the help of others. no man is an island.

Yes, mainly because they need a friend, and a place to stay.It is a good thing,as I have been taken in, also, during a seperation. But keep your enemies close, and your friends closer...be careful. Good Luck!!!

Yes, I have. Sometimes because the person may have needed guidance and other times because I'm a bit egotistical and may have tried to give guidance where it wasn't wanted.

Yes, the reason is hard to explain, but when you see someone who can do a superlative job, they deserve special treatment.
