Despite the dumb@ss comment from "Bill Bates", I think the two best teams to play for the title would be LSU and Okla...tho I do understand why Ohio State will likely get one of the two spots in the championship game

Ohio State and LSU would be a decent title game. I respectfully disagree with the answerer who states that "the numbers" favor Oklahoma rather than LSU - both have two losses, and LSU's losses were both in triple overtime to quality opponents. And I would really like to see a game between Oklahoma and LSU to decide things. And the Bill Bates guy obviously doesn't know anything about football. He was probably a kid who had to play soccer in Tulsa because he wasn't tough enough to play football in Baton Rouge.

I think Oklahoma/Ohio State would be a good game. I think LSU is more deserving, but the math suggests Oklahoma.
Hawaii has a legit gripe though. If Michigan and Michigan State had not chickened out of playing them this year, their strength of schedule would not be much below Kansas' and they would likely be in the top 5 as an undefeated in a year with only 2 1 loss teams --- one of which (Kansas) didn't win their division or conference and got beaten by a Missou team a 2 loss Oklahoma team smoked this week on a neutral feild.
Would Hawaii have been able to light up UM's secondary like App state in game 1? --- no question.
Would Hawaii have been able to beat MSU in Hawaii? --- no question.
If the state of Michigan was not affraid of playing big time football, UH would be a top 5 team. :)
Now mind you, Ohio State is the only team in the country I can see really controlling and dismantling Hawaii. They are by far the fastest team in the Big 10 and have speed to spare in their secondary. Hawaii has 3 top receivers with legitimate NFL chances and generally win games by killing an opponents weakest secondary member. A lot of the top teams do not have a 3rd or 4th player who can really cover.

Georgia will not play for the national championship because they didn't even play for their own conference championship. LSU has a shot at the championship game, as does Oklahoma, Hawaii, and maybe USC (a long shot, but more likely than Georgia). I think OSU is almost guaranteed to be there.

i just did some research and some of the associated sports writers are thinking that oklahoma will jump lsu in the final rankings due to mizzou being ranked number one and they beat them by 21 and lsu only beating tenn by 7

Why do you feel that OSU going to get killed? Just because they did last year doesn't mean they will this time. And LSU
doesn't have a perfect record this year either.
