Where I can buy 1950's clothes? It's for a costume party and I am stuck.?

I need to find a pony dress, bobby socks, and saddle shoes. Any idea what a pony dress is? I what the socks and shoes are but the dress mystifies me.

I'm going to guess that's a misprint. There was no 'pony dress'. It probably was intended to read 'pony tail' and something-else....
For the '50's, you want a circle-skirt, preferably made of felt, worn with a short-sleeved blouse or sweater and a wide cinch belt. Do your hair in a pony-tail if you can, with a small silk scarf tied around the pony-tail, or if not, tie the silk scarf around your neck, with the ends at the side.
Saddle shoes were actually passe by the '50's. You'd be more correct to wear bobby socks and ballet flats.

Besides for a costume store?...Try thrift stores, like:
Salvation army or Savers.

Ive googled pony dress and it seems to be a loose fitting dress with an empire waist. But thats just by the look of the pictures that show up.
