When you switch WEP on, it gives you random security keys for example E9F70C3BD6. When you run a computer on the network, it will request a WEP key. Type in a one issued by the wireless router to get connected. Because they're made up of the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F, trying to guess the key sequence will be impossible.

Each computer accessing your Broadband will need one of these keys. No key, no Broadband.
