I want to be able to access Wi-Fi at home on my iPod Touch.

All I have is a 2Wire DSL Router (2700HG-B) from SBC, I know that I'll need a wireless router if I want to get a hold of Wi-Fi on my iPod but I'm not really sure how wireless set up works...

Do I buy the wireless router and connect it to my 2Wire modem
and enter in all of the details needed or do I need to buy a wireless adapter as well?

I only need the wireless router to access wifi on my iPod, all of my other computers are connected to the internet via ethernet cables.

I'm also kind of fuzzy on which kind of wireless router to buy...

Your 2Wire is a wireless router! It even is setup to send wirelessly. (See http://2wire.com for details) All you need is to connect your IPOD's wireless to it. You simply select your 2wire as the access point and enter the security key (the key is on the lable on your 2wire, its a ten digit number located between the [ ] on the label.

So just connect and go. You have what you need!
